Thank You, Mom

Dear Mom:

I would like to officially, publicly thank you for never telling me in public to "shut up". In fact, I'm pretty sure that you never told me to "shut up" period. I know there were many times when you wanted to tell me that, and probably still are some times today when you'd like to tell me, but you've got class and decorum, Mom.

I can't tell you how many times I've heard a mother tell that to their kids over the past few days when I've been in a store shopping.

Once again, thanks Mom for having enough class not to yell that at me in a store, and thanks for bringing me up right, so that you never had to yell that at me.
