Something You Don't See Every DayI
I went to a Bats baseball game tonight, and while driving down Market Street, one of the busiest streets in downtown Louisville, I saw something that you don't see every day. A woman was on the right side of the street at a crosswalk, waiting to cross the street. She was reading a book. I was stopped at the very long red light and had time to observe, and I never took my eyes off of her; at the same time, she never looked up and took her eyes off of the book. She managed to cross the street, luckily. All I can say is that must have been one damned good book.
