Enough, Already

On Sunday morning, the weatherazzi said we had over 8 inches of rain from June 16 to July 5.  I sure believe it.  And I think we've gotten at least another inch or more since then.  Enough already.

On Saturday, I went over to The Boat (aka Horseshoe Casino) and along the way, I pass through a lot of farm land.  The farm land acreage that is planted with soy beans looked more like rice patties in Asia - there was standing water in all of the farm land I passed.  

So it's not going to be a good season for the farmers.  Luckily, we've fared well here at The Compound, but the bigtime farmers are taking a big hit.

And there's more rain and storms in the forecast for tonight.

I repeat -- enough already.
