I am very happy to report tonight that it is November 7, and we are still having fresh, ripe, homegrown tomatoes from the garden at The Compound.It's bittersweet - we had a fresh tomato in Mom's homemade vegetable soup tonight, but when these are ripened and eaten, that's all folks until next summer. But I will say I am very impressed that we're into the first week of November and are still enjoying home grown tomatoes. My hat is tipped to Mom and Dad who grew them. You rock.
