Flashback Friday, Part Two

The 'Rents and I just had a good laugh as we reminisced about last Derby Eve. After supper last Derby Eve, Mom made a comment about how good a warm Krispy Kreme glazed donut would taste. Let me interject that she's diabetic, and she watches her sugar and carb intake strictly. So if she wanted a donut, then by hell she would have a donut. Only it took two hours to get it. What normally would have been about a 25 minute round-trip ended up being a two-hour trip with me stuck in Derby Eve traffic around the Krispy Kreme. But I made it home, and we all enjoyed a couple of Krispy Kreme glazed donuts with glasses of ice cold milk.
