TWIT and I would like to wish the 'Rents a very happy 53rd anniversary today.
I've always been very proud and blessed to have them as my parents, but last night I felt even more proud. A friend I hadn't seen in a while called the house to wish them a happy anniversary, and before I handed them the phone my friend told me that my parents have always been an inspiration to her. She said that with the divorce rate being over fifty percent, a marriage that has lasted for 53 years is pretty rare. I guess she's right.
