Take That, Paula Deen

We just finished with supper here at The Compound and I'm here to tell you that Paula Deen herself could not have made fried green tomatoes any better than my Mother did tonight. These were the last of the tomatoes from the garden here at The Compound, and they were perfect - not too soggy, not too crisp. Just perfect - that's about all I can say. We all three ate a couple of slices more than we should but boy were they good. Major props go out to Mom for frying them up and to Dad for all of his hard work in planting, cultivating and growing the tomatoes.
