I was finally able to see the dermatologist yesterday. He diagnosed my big itching episode as ezcema and not shingles currently. He gave me prescriptions for an ointment, a huge tube of cream, and anti-itch pills. I am happy to say I had an itch-free night's sleep last night, and so far, so good today.
