We had a wind storm most of the day yesterday, and am sorry to say that have some damage. The shingles and tar paper were blown off of the roof of the carport. Luckily for us, Neighbor Nick is going to assess the damage tomorrow, and then he and I will head to Lowes to buy we need for him to do the repairs. Once again, I can't say enough good things about him as our neighbor and friend. He offered to do the repairs without me having to swallow my pride and ask him.
As I think back, this is just life coming full circle for us. Back in the day, my Sweet Mother and the Old Man didn't hesitate to help out our neighbors when they were in a bind. I'm just thankful for their good deeds getting repaid to us now.
