Details are still very sketchy, but someone was shot and killed at a convenient store in our hood this morning at about 4:30. The store is about two miles from The Compound, and this murder was a little too close for comfort. There was never any more mention of it on the local news tonight, either. I guess it's because it's become too commonplace.
It's like my Sweet Mother says - "It's like the wild west out there." I have to agree with her. She also frequently says "It's a crazy old world." And I couldn't agree with her more.
