A Bad Day For Break Downs

This weekend hasn't been very good here at The Compound.

On Friday, the main drain that goes into the sewer line was clogged, and we had to call for the plumber to come out and unclog it.  Luckily for us, they were here within an hour of me calling them, and it was a quick, fairly cheap fix.

Then yesterday morning, we discovered that an electrical circuit that has two sockets in the kitchen and the socket in the basement where we plug in the washing machine were out.  But it, again, was a quick fix.  Luckily, we only use one of those two sockets in the kitchen, so we simply moved the trusty Bunn coffee maker over to another plug.  And in the basement, we plugged the washing machine into the socket where we have the dryer plugged in, and we were back in business.

I'm hoping for a better week for all things electrical and mechanical.
