The sun came out yesterday and the temperature got up to a balmy 35 degrees here at The Compound. You can see some small signs of the snow melting, thank goodness.
I managed to shovel (note: I did not use the word "clear") a path from the back porch to the garage. I got the snow off but there's about an inch of ice underneath. I'm hoping that the rain they are calling for today will help melt some of that. Rumor has it that it might get up to above 40 degrees today.
