Party On, Puddin

Even though Mom's birthday was yesterday, in typical fashion we are still celebrating today.  In 30 minutes, the neighborhood will descend on The Compound and we'll be partying again to celebrate Mom's birthday.  I snuck in the house to type this post, and as I am sitting at the computer, neighbors are at different stations around The Compound.  One neighbor is on our back porch frying up a huge mess of green tomatoes.  Another neighbor is at our stove, mashing up a big bowl of potatoes, while another neighbor just brought in two huge buckets of KFC.  And another neighbor just now came in and asked where they could put the two homemade pies.  Oh how I love The Compound.
