Vacation Day 6 Decision Of The Day

Vacation Day 6 Decision of the Day:  Some friends are taking me out tonight to [still] celebrate my birthday. Not only are we going to my favorite seafood restaurant in the city, Bonefish Grill, they're also taking me to see the new Gina Carano movie, "Haywire."  The decision of the day is do I order shrimp or scallops at dinner? 

This decision didn't take much effort.  I decided to order an appetizer portion of their awesome Wild Gulf Shrimp with kalmata olives and Feta cheese and an appetizer portion of jumbo sea scallops - the best of both worlds.

Vacation Day 5 Decision Of The Day

Vacation Day 5 Decision of the Day:  I'm finally planning my stay-at-home-all-day day, and am wondering what to do. Do I watch all of my Madea movies back-to-back, or just watch the awesome old-school TV show reruns on cable?

This was a no-brainer.  As much as I love Madea, she easily won out.  I pulled out my entire Madea collection and they are ready to be watched tomorrow.

Vacation Day 4 Decision Of The Day

Vacation Day 4 Decision of the Day: The 'Rents and I are going to the movies to see "Joyful Noise." Le me say that in itself is a huge feat.  It's been probably 20 or more years since the 'Rents have gone to the movies.  We all three saw "The Beverly Hillbillies", and I honestly can't remember the last time I've seen a movie in the theater.  The Decision of the Day:  do we sneak in snacks or do I say to heck with it and peel even more money at the concession stand in the theater? Snacks meaning bags/boxes of candy, not big bags of popcorn or cans or bottles of soft drinks.

It didn't take too much deciding on this one.  I stopped at the drugstore and got Dad and I each a box of Raisenets and got Mom a bag of sugar-free Reese Cups. 

Vacation Day 3 Decision Of The Day

Vacation Day 3 Decision of the Day:  I got the BMW out of the shop a week ago, and it's back in action and running like a new one. Should I run it through the car wash one day this week or wait till there is absolutely no rain in the forecast? This might not seem like much of a decision, but I'm not one to wash my old BMW or my old Blazer every few weeks like a lot of people. When I wash them, I like to  make sure there's no rain in the forecast for at least week.  I like to get my money's worth if I'm paying someone else to wash them.

After careful consideration, I decided to wait to wash both cars.  And being the kind person that I am, when I run my cars through the car wash up at the corner, I will also run the 'Rents' mini-van through the car wash, too. 

Vacation Day 2 Decision Of The Day

Vacation Day 2 Decision of the Day: A couple of weeks ago, I promised Dad that we would go shopping and Mom and I would buy him a new suit for his birthday, which incidentally was Saturday, the day after my birthday. (Insert laughs about Dad's "birthday suit"). The decision was whether to go shopping today, Monday, the first official day of my vacation, or to I spend the first week day of my vacation in my pajamas and not leave the house and go shopping for his suit later in the week?

After thinking about it and after finding out what a beautiful sunny day it was going to be today, we decided to head out to the land in the Far East, aka Shelbyville Road, and visit the Men's Warehouse.  Dad got not one, but two suits and a pair of brown dress shoes.  He'll be stylin' and profilin'.
