Happy Derby

After weeks of celebrating, the day if is finally here - the first Saturday in May, Derby Day.

Today is one of the prettiest Derby Days we've had in years - it's about 70, sunny and windy but at least it's not raining or cold like most Derbys have been.

Don't ask me for any tips, because for the first time in decades, I haven't followed the horses and am clueless.  I don't even know if there's a gray horse running (note: my grandpa and grandma always would bet on the gray horses). 

It still fascinates me that all of this hoopla is happening just 20 minutes away from The Compound.
