I think you're right BLG Mama - I remember Dad saying that right before he retired from Armored Car Co. that he would wake up 5 minutes before his alarm went off.
There is one other possible reason...the alarm clock we have now is so loud and irritating, Tommy says he sometimes gets up 2 hours early just so he doesn't have to hear it, lol.
Mine's a digital, LOL.
