I'm happy to report that Mom went to the doctor this morning and got the cast off of her foot, and now she's completely mobile again. Well, not completely - she's using one of Dad's fancy hand-carved canes but she's getting around great. She even walked from the doctor's office out to the car. Her doctor told her not to do any break dancing for a few days, and to come back on Monday so she can check and make sure the swelling has gone down. But she's been given the All Clear.
If we thought the last week and a half was hard, it's just gotten harder; we'll probably need to sit on her to keep her from overdoing it and walking too much.
Thanks to everyone for their prayers and well wishes. Mom said she really appreciated your thoughtfulness and concern. And so did I.
