Whatever Happened To . . .

Whatever happened to pagers, aka beepers?  Doctors and first responders probably haven't used them in years. They were the rage in the late 80s and early 90s.  Of course, I had one before cell phones came on the market. FYI - my pager was red.  

Whatever Happened To . . . ?

 While I was driving to the Far East yesterday morning to get some concealer from a cosmetics store in a huge mega mall, I started thinking about how there are hardly any more Merle Norman cosmetics stores around.  Back in the day, there was one in every shopping center and strip mall.  I did some quick research, and found that there are 8 stores in the state of Kentucky, and 8 left in Indiana.  

I don't think I ever bought anything from Merle Normans; I was a Lancome girl back in the day.  But a friend's mother owned and managed one locally, and if I was in that shopping center, I would stop in to say hi to her.
