I am sad to report that Roberta Flack died today. She was 88, and had suffered from ALS for the past few years.
She was one of my favorites. "Killing Me Softly" is one of my all-time favorite songs. I remember back in the day when the song was popular, the Old Man had the sheet music for it, and I loved to hear him play it on our Hammond organ. She won three Grammy awards for that song. Pretty darned impressive if you ask me.
You will be missed, Roberta.
