Yesterday morning was great. She was more alert and had more strength, and she even called The Old Man an old buzzard.
Then we had a set back. The doctor was concerned about her high heart rate, and did an echo gram, and said it was AFib, and moved her to the cardiac floor. The cardiologist said it was due to the trauma from the surgery. They gave her a beta blocker and a blood thinner, and an IV of a med to lower her heart rate. When her nurse saw the rate where they would like it, she ran into the room smiling and clapping.
With moving to another floor, PT skipped therapy yesterday but they were there today and got her up out bed and over to the chair where she sat up for over an hour.
Each day I can see her eating a little bit more, which is an answer to prayers.
The Old Man and I just got home and my cousin will stay tonight with her. We're hoping that the cardilogist will be in sometime this afternoon. But we're taking that as a good sign - no news is good news.
