Happy National Cereal Day

TWIT and I would like to wish everyone a very happy National Cereal Day.  Granted, it's past dinner time, but some of you might be still full from a big lunch and might only want a bowl of cereal tonight.  

I had a bowl of Cheerios this morning in honor of this day, and I will probably have another bowl tomorrow morning as well.  And the 'Rents both had Cheerios this morning, too, in honor of this day. 

Happy National Oreo Day

TWIT and I would like to wish everyone a very happy National Oreo Day.  

Please take a break today from eating Girl Scout cookies and buy a pack of Oreos if you don't already have some at home.  There is about half a pack in the pantry at The Compound, and you can rest assured I will be eating some of them tonight with a cold glass of milk.

Another Bright Sun Shiny Day

After all of the rain and cloudy days we had, I am very happy to report that we had another bright, sun shiny day today.  It was in the upper 50's, and I hope that everyone had a chance to get out today and enjoy.  Because rain and winter temps are coming back tomorrow for most of the week.

It didn't matter to me, because at least it wasn't raining.

TWIT and I would like to thank the almighty Lord for today's bright, sun-shiny day.  It's a bit cool but at least it isn't raining.  

Flashback Friday

A friend emailed me today, asking if I remembered his Grandmother's pork tenderloin sandwich from way back in the day.  Of course, I remembered Mersey's pork tenderloin sandwich. 

Mersey was an awesome lady.  Her husband, Bobo,  was one of the biggest influences in my father's Christian walk.  He was one of the most Godly ment that my family ever had the privilege of knowing. 

  Whenever we would go to their house to visit, as soon as we would pull into the driveway, Mersey would have a pot of coffee going.  And she would serve coffee in not just any cups; she would serve coffee in her cool world Nescafe mugs.  She would put ice in one of the mugs for me to drink my Pepsi out of, just like the big people did. 

Mersey also had a parrot that would talk, which fascinated me.  It would mimic everything you said.  The parrot was very cool, and I could have sat there for hours in front of the cage talking to it and listening to it talk back. 

Happy National Peanut Butter Day

TWIT and I would like wish everyone a very happy National Peanut Butter Day.  I'm giving you plenty of advance notice so you have time to go to the office vending machine and get a Reese Cup. Or better yet, stop at the store on the way home and buy a six-pack of Reese Eggs.  You'll be glad you did.
