My Day Was Made

I was on my way to Tractor Supply last night to get a bag of feed for the Girls, when my cell rang.  Normally I don't answer it while I am driving but when I saw it was an old, dear friend LB calling, I had to take the call.  And I'm so glad I did.

She was at a restaurant having a bourbon on the rocks while waiting for her dinner, and she said she thought of me and wanted to talk.  Her call made my day. These days, hardly anyone talks; they always text.  I have friends who will text their kids who are in the house a few rooms away instead of talking to them.  And I guess when someone texts you, they were thinking of you, but that can never take the place of an actual conversation.

Thanks again, LB.  You made my day.
