It's two days until The Gala. Today, the grass at The Compound was mowed and trimmed, and the carport was pressure washed to get rid of the gigantic oil spot from where our various vehicles have leaked over the years. The small refrigerator that we were going to throw away was plugged in today and at last check is cooling perfectly (so we might not throw it away after all).
Two of the guests have arrived safely, and will be staying here at The Compound until next Friday.
Now it's time for a nice strong cocktail.
