Wednesday Reflections

The 'Rents were woke up this morning (sorry - bad grammar, I know) to a phone call from a neighbor saying that the neighbor's daughter-in-law had died suddenly.  Her coworkers were worried this morning because she didn't show up at work.  Her husband was out of town on business.  So when she didn't show up for work, some coworkers went to her home and found her dead.  That's hardcore.  And what's more hardcore is the fact that this same scenario has happened to 3 dear friends of mine over the past few years.

It's cliche, but we never know when it is going to be our time to go, so we need to be ready -- ready spiritually, religiously, financially, and physically.  This is something that we don't like to talk about but it is a conversation that needs to take place.

I pray that all of you, faithful readers, are ready.
