I know I speak for everyone in the U.S to say goodbye and good riddance to Helene. Nuff said.

Happy National Coffee Day
TWIT and I would like to wish you, faithful readers, a very happy National Coffee Day. The Old Man and I are celebrating right now with our first cup of coffee.
The only brand of coffee we have used for the past 15 or so years is plain old coffee from Gordon Food Service aka GFS. It's kinda like a small-scale Sam's or Costco that just carries food and restaurant items. It is without a doubt the best coffee we have ever tasted. I'd put it up against $$$$ coffee from Starbucks or any other coffee shop. Try it. You'll thank me later.
Ohio Valley Weather Update
The rain eased up, and here at The Compound, we only got about half an inch of rain since yesterday morning. It's cloudy now, and light rain is expected. But for the most part, Helene has moved out. For that we are thankful.

Ohio Valley Weather Update
We are in Day 2 of rain from Hurricane Helene. The rain total for the past 24 hours is 3.65 inches for our zip code.
I've taken advantage of this weather by being constructive: yesterday, I cleaned the kitchen and mopped the kitchen floor. Today's rainy day plans include working on my Big Craft Project.
Stay tuned, and stay dry.

Ohio Valley Weather Update
It started raining early early this morning, and hasn't stopped yet. As of noon today, it is still raining and it is big time windy. The weatherazzi is still calling for 4+ inches of rain when the remnants of Helene moves through on Monday.
Stay tuned.

The Calm Before The Storm
As I type this, the sun is shining brightly at our Old Kentucky Home, and there isn't a cloud in the sky. Unfortunately, remnants of Hurricane Helene will arrive tomorrow and stay a few days. I have a couple of outdoor chores that need to be done, so I will take advantage of today's good weather.
Stay tuned.

Get Ready
The Weatherazzi is starting to get all worked up over the rain coming in the next few days. Some are saying we'll get 2-3 inches. We sure do need the rain, but not all at once. I'm getting prepared - I'm going to the grocery store tomorrow instead of my usual Saturday morning so I won't be out in it. Bring it on. I have plenty of work on the Big Craft Project to keep me busy for the next few days.
